Description
On February 23, 1927, an emaciated finback whale washed ashore on Ragged Island, where it was cut up by the finders, Isaac Orrin Linscott, Sam Doughty, Capt. E. Moore Tibbets and others.
Captain William Sylvester supervised the process.
The carcass was 50 feet long and approximately 33 tons.
