Description
Members of the Jacques Cartier snowshoe club of Lewiston. Snowshoe clubs were quite popular in Canada. The first American club was La Montagnard in Lewiston, formed in 1924.
Lewiston-Auburn had several dozen clubs, which promoted snowshoeing but served as year-round social clubs as well.
