Capt. Henry W. (Harry) Lyon Jr. of Paris Hill received this humorous certificate from his passage from Australia to the U.S. aboard the S.S. Sonoma after the first trans-Pacific flight, from Oakland, California, to Sydney, Australia.
Lyon was navigator on the flight.
