Description
The Cribstone Bridge was built between 1926 and 1928 between Bailey and Orr's islands
Charles Knight of Pownal had his crew cut the granite from one of his several quarries that was in North Yarmouth. He also had a quarry in Pownal, across the road from where he cut the bridge material.
The granite was set down in an original crisscross pattern.
