Description
A young man with a shovel on Crescent Street in Portland, shoveling out after the Great Blizzard of 1899.
The storm covered a large area of the United States. New England received two to three feet of snow and temperatures in Texas dropped to -5 degrees. The Port of New Orleans iced over.
