Description
A panoramic photo of the kitchen staff at Pownal State School in New Gloucester in 1936.
On the back of the photo is written, "Gladys Thurber is in the second row, sixth from the right."
Pownal State School opened in 1908 as the Maine School for the Feeble Minded. A central kitchen, dining hall and bakery were completed in 1917.
