Description
Elizabeth P. Ricker on her dogsled at Poland Spring.
Ricker's husband's family operated the Poland Spring resort, which hosted several dog sled competitions in the late 1920s.
Elizabeth Ricker and sled dog champion Leonhard Seppala later began a kennel to breed the Seppala sled dogs at Poland Spring.
