Description

This photograph was taken at the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets in Saco. Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution is now on this corner. The three buildings from left to right are J.W. Beatty's Co., Ed Thomas' Cash Grocer, and the Hotel Wallace. Legend has it that the corner was called Joker's Corner because of the practical jokes men liked to play on unsuspecting Saco citizens there.
