Description
A photo of the 1916 crew of Eastern Illustrating Co. of Belfast, which sent photographers out into Maine and New England to photograph local landmarks and buildings.
The company then made "real photo" postcards that were marketed in the local communities.
The factory was staffed primarily by women and girls who printed the photos onto the postcard stock and processed them, packed them, and shipped them to the stores that sold them.
