Description
Margaret Chase Smith with Hildegard (Loretta Sell) who sang a presidential campaign tribute to Smith, “Leave It To The Girls,” at the Republican National Convention in July 1964.
Smith, a Maine senator, sought the Republican nomination for president.
Gladys Shelley wrote the song.
