An Air Condor horn, chrome-plated with a black bulb, from the 1964 National Republican Convention held in San Francisco.
Maine Senator Margaret Chase Smith sought the presidency in 1964 and took her campaign all the way to the Republican National Convention. She was the first woman to have her name placed in nomination by a major political party.
