Description
A postcard view of Andover village, taken about 1909.
The postcard is addressed to H.M. Freeman of Portland. The message, from Mr. and Mrs. Davenport, is dated July 6, '09, Andover. It reads, "My dear friend: - Mrs. D & I are stopping here over night and find it one of the prettiest spots we have yet visited. Up among the 'Oxford Hills.' & we think a nice place for you to spend a portion of your vacation. Come around to the house last of next week and we will tell you all about it."
