Description
Photo of author and educator, Kate Douglas Wiggin, in cap and gown after receiving an honorary degree from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine. Handwritten rhyme written to Mr. George A. Emery reads:
"The Doctor's gown hath seemingly
Enlarged my slender "figger"
But this I vow, the Doctor's cap
Hath made my head no bigger!"
