Description
The gate of the Jefferson Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, which opened in June 1933 and remained in operation as a Maine Forest Service tree disease and insect control camp until September 1940.
From its opening until September 1935, the camp served bonus veterans. It then enrolled young men.
