Description
Maine Forest Service Civilian Conservation Corps officials, probably at Alfred Camp in about 1934.
At far right is State Forest Entomologist Henry B. Peirson. Next to him might be L.P. Brooks, superintendent of the Bridgton CCC camp.
The Forest Service camps at Bridgton, Lewiston, Alfred and Jefferson were charged with tree disease and insect control, as were some camps in northern Maine.
