Description
This object consists of a photograph of the Islesboro Town Hall, and in the background the Masonic Hall. The photo is mounted on cardboard which has a 1926 calendar attached to the lower right-hand corner.
The Town Hall was built in 1894 for $4000 on the site of the first Islesboro Town Hall and Baptist Meeting House. The high school was housed in the second and third floors of the building. The Masonic Lodge was built in 1905.
In 1964 the town sold the building to the newly formed Islesboro Historical Society, and is still in use today.
