Description
This silver plate crumb tray was used to catch crumbs scraped off a dining table between courses. It was used in the Islesboro Inn, a hotel located on Gilkey Harbor. Originally a summer cottage built for J.K. Mitchell, it is still called the Mitchell Cottage, but became the Colonial Inn in 1964. The hotel in Gilkey Harbor later adopted the name Islesboro Inn after the Dark Harbor Islesboro Inn was demolished.
Original inscription "Islesboro Inn International Silver Co Silver Soldered SHO957"
