Description
The Tarratine Golf Club moved to this site in 1916 after the previous location in Dark Harbor, a summer community in Islesboro, proved inadequate.
The Golf Club was organized by the Dark Harbor community in conjunction with the Islesboro Inn.
An old farmhouse was converted into a clubhouse, with dressing rooms for men and women, and tearooms with a veranda.
Written on front: "Tarratine Golf Club - Dark Harbor, ME."
