Description
This view is taken from the north side of the business block, looking west on Main Street. The Baptist Church spire is above the horse and buggy, heading east on Main Street. The Stimpson Block, built in 1874, is on the right side of the photograph.
The ice storm destroyed many of the town’s prized elms, and businesses were shut down for several days until the debris was cleared from the streets.
