Description
Katherine Wyman, the Maine Winter Carnival Queen of Health and Jollity, in her regalia in Augusta in 1923.
She was the daughter of Walter S. Wyman, an engineer who was co-founder of Central Maine Power Co.
The king was William H. Gannett, an Augusta publisher whose interest in winter sports spawned the carnival.
