Description
Henry Knox kept a series of journals called wastebooks, in which he frequently noted the weather and made rough notes about his financial transactions and other business. Commonly, a wastebook was used to make rough entries before they were entered into a more formal ledger. This one, labeled No. Δ, dates from April 1804 to September 1805 and is in his own hand. It contains many details about his business activities in Thomaston, and surrounding communities.
