Description
The former Maine Central Railroad Station when it was used by the Jesse Albert Memorial Dental Clinic.
The clinic was established to serve children of families that could not afford dental care. The Diocesan Bureau of Human Relations Service of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland sponsored the clinic.
When MCRR passenger service ended in 1959, Bath Iron Works purchased the station and surrounding grounds.
In 1971, BIW deeded the station to the City of Bath to house the dental clinic.
The clinic moved to Congress Avenue in 2000.
