Josiah Pierce letter to son about money, 1826

Description

Josiah Pierce of Baldwin, wrote to his son George W. Pierce who was studying law in Northampton, Massachusetts, to send him money.

The elder Pierce, who wrote the letter from Portland, told his son, "money has been very scarce in this quarter."
