Description

Writing to his brother Josiah in Gorham, George W. Pierce discusses his studies at law school in Northampton, Massachusetts, and comments that Maine should have a similar law school if it hopes to keep young lawyers.

He also discusses his prospects for going into the legal business and notes the reduction in litigation.
