Description
George W. Pierce (1805-1835) of Portland wrote to his mother, Phebe Pierce of Baldwin, describing the trip he and his wife, Anne Longfellow Pierce, took to Vermont.
He talks about staying with his uncle, Daniel Pierce, and reports on their family.
He was on his way to Quebec and expected to be away another month.
George Pierce died about three months after he wrote the letter.
