Description
Harriot Pierce (1798-1829) of Baldwin, who had been suffering for a number of years with a diseased leg, wrote to her youngest brother, George W. Pierce (1805-1835), studying at Bowdoin College, to tell him of family news.
She commented on the death of Aunt Neal, who "has suffered much in this life."
She also commented on someone George did not much like and wrote, "I do hope my dear George the time is not far distant when you will love those that are christians."
