Description
George W. Pierce, a student at Bowdoin College, wrote to his sister Harriot in Baldwin, explaining that if he did not write as often as she hoped it was because of his "antipathy to letter writing."
He noted that he wrote more letters "than most boys of my age who I am acquainted with."
He also commented on concern about his eyesight, which he said was not as strong as when he entered college.
