Daniel Pierce letter on mother's death, Baldwin, 1839

Description

Daniel Pierce (1803-1859) wrote to his brother-in-law, Ira Crocker in Portland, to let him know of the death of Phebe Thompson Pierce on Feb. 27, 1839.

Daniel's sister Ruth was married to Ira Crocker and was in Baldwin when their mother died. Daniel also asked Crocker to let their sister Sarah Gooch know of their mother's death.
