Description
Francis Lewis Pierce, wife of Daniel Pierce, wrote to her sister-in-law Hannah Pierce of Baldwin to report on the family's circumstances in Orion, Michigan, where they were living.
She noted that Daniel had been ill, but was improving, and that they faced many challenges.
The letter also includes letters to her sister-in-law Ruth Pierce Crocker, with whom Hannah was staying.
