Description
Printed book issued semi-annually by students of Hebron Academy, Hebron. This one was issued May, 1881. It contains essays and poems written by students. At the end of the book is information about the school, board of trustees, faculty and students. The list of students includes several from Paris Hill in the class of 1881. A company of cadets was formed at the Academy and called themselves Hamlin Cadets in honor of Hannibal Hamlin who was minister to Spain at that time. Frank P. Stearns of Paris, class of 1881 was corporal.
Hannibal Hamlin was a student at Hebron Academy in 1826. In 1855 he returned to give an address at a 50 year celebration, and he attended Hebron Academy's first reunion in 1883.
