Description
Alexander W. Longfellow (1814-1901) of Portland drew a sketch of his work in surveying and mapping on Richmond Island.
The younger brother of poet Henry W. Longfellow, Alexander was a surveyor and artist.
He depicted himself in close proximity to alcohol with a large red nose.
