Description
An unidentified photographer took this portrait of Samuel Longfellow (1819-1892), the brother of poet Henry Wadsworth Longellow.
Samuel Longfellow began study at Harvard Divinity School in 1842, but ill health induced him to accept a teaching post for the American Consul in the Portuguese Azores because of its fine climate.
