Description
Charles H. Weston’s machine shop, on the west side of Royal River at Yarmouth’s East Elm Street falls (also known as the 4th falls) operated between 1877 and 1898.
The machine shop and foundry manufactured equipment for cotton and woolen mills, turbine water wheels, steam engines, and a wide variety of other machinery for customers all over the world; in 1880 it employed 16 men.
Buildings of the Forest Paper Company at the 3rd falls can be seen at far left.
