Description
Pierre Painchaud plays "The Mad Miser" in the French theater production of "The Chimes of Normandy" in Biddeford, circa 1899.
Painchaud was a noted musician and bandleader throughout New England, as were his children after him. Painchaud was the first and most famous of the many talented Franco performers to come from Biddeford.
