Description
Benjamin Griffin Dennison was born August 23, 1814 in Freeport to Col. Andrew and Lydia Lufkin Dennison. Benjamin married Susan Towns on October 8, 1838. He died April 19, 1897 in Brunswick.
Benjamin had seven sisters and two brothers, Aaron Dennison and Eliphalet Dennison, who were noteable for creating the first paper box company in America, the Dennison Manufacturing Company.
Benjamin was postmaster of Brunswick under Grant's administration. He kept a bookstore for many years. He was honorable in his dealings, generous, and kind to all.
