Description
Alice S. Dunning (1869-1947) graduated from Brunswick High School in 1867. Miss Dunning is best known as a grammar school educator. For 47 years she taught in Brunswick schools and was also the Principal of the old Center Street School. She was a life resident of Brunswick.
Miss Alice had a love of music and singing. She belonged to the Maine Music Festival Chorus for its entire 30 years of existence, 1897-1928. She also belonged to the Brunswick Festival Chorus and in 1926 she was a member of the Brunswick Orchestral and Choral Society as a member of the Chorus as a soprano.
