Description
This photograph was taken from the Sanford Trust Building on Main St. facing South. The band mostly visible may be Yarmouth Junior High School, one of many schools attending the Western Maine Music Festival in 1955. The band preceding this one is not known. Note the Thomas Goodall statue was still in the intersection. It would be moved to the nearby park in 1967. All the buildings on the right were still standing in 2023, except for the gold-colored home. Among the businesses visible are Puritan Clothing and Sevigny Furniture.
