Description
This photograph was taken from the Sanford Trust Building on Main St. facing South. The bands are several participating in the Western Maine Music Festival in 1955. Note the Thomas Goodall statue was still in the intersection. It would be moved to the nearby park in 1967. All the buildings on the right were still standing in 2010, except for the yellow home. Among the businesses visible are Puritan Clothing and Sevigney Furniture.
