Description
May 19th, 1938 saw the inauguration of Air Mail Service to Guilford. The mail planes landed in the large field on Route 15 just before the turn leading to the country club. Shown left to right are Ada Knowles, Reverend Haywood Thomas, H. Milton Edes, Gene Ross and the pilot, name unknown.
