Description
Ebenezer Everett was born August 1788 in Dorchester, Massachusetts, the second son of Moses and Hannah Everett. Ebenezer married Joanna B. Prince of Beverly, Massachusetts in 1819 and had six children. Ebenezer died at the age of 80 years and 6 months on February 6, 1869.
Ebenezer graduated from Harvard College in 1806. He was a lawyer in Beverly, Massachusetts until he came to Brunswick in 1818. He was a cashier of the Union Bank for 14 years, and a lawyer in Brunswick. Ebenezer was a member of Legislature and served on the Board for Revision Statutes of the State. He was a member of the Board Trustees for Bowdoin College from 1828 - 1864 and was the Secretary of the Board. He was also a member of the Maine Historical Society.
