Amherst College Bicycling Club in Massachusetts, ca. 1898 There is a large building behind them that could be a dormitory. Samuel B. Furbish of Brunswick is first row center.
Sam graduated from Amherst College with a B.S. in 1898. He was 23 years and 11 months old, a Republican, interested in business, and would be studying law the next year.
