Description
This is one of the paper wrappers for tintypes used by photographer Benjamin F. Cole of Biddeford around 1865. Cole was an early photographer of Biddeford and Biddeford Pool, and had offices in several locations on Main Street. At the time that this wrapper was used his studio was located at 76 Main Street, which would have been the end of Main Street closer to the wharves and Liberty Square. In addition to tintypes, Cole also produced stereocards and "scenic views" to sell.
