Description
The nearest building on the right was part of the R. J. Peacock Canning Company complex with the main office in the third building which is still standing and in use as of 2009. Sandwiched between was Stuart’s Bowling Alley; note the “Billiards” and “Royal Crown Cola” signs. Across the street was the T.J. Mitchell Store and China Shop, which became the A&P Grocery, moving from the other side of Water Street.
