Description
The place card for Mrs. Edith Gove of Biddeford at the forty-fifth anniversary celebration for the Thursday Club, on January 4, 1939. The place card was hand-drawn and colored, and depicts an old-time kitchen hand in breeches and a large puffy hat carrying an immense bowl of vegetables. Across the top is hand-lettering which reads "45th Anniversary". Edith Gove spoke about the fourth decade of the club at the celebration.
