Description
This life saving station is located at Carrying Place Cove in Lubec. The Life Saving Service merged with the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service in 1915 to form the U.S. Coast Guard. Note the four-seat lawn swing to right, and boat behind double door painted on its bow “U.S.L.S.S.” for United States Life Saving Service.
