Description
This view shows the Seacoast Canning Co. Factory No. 1, south side. The print is rubber-stamped on the back November 1, 1920. The great competition among many dozens of sardine canneries led to consolidation of many under the Seacoast Canning Company name shortly after the turn of the 20th century. Further corporate manipulation eventually combined with the turbulence of the 1930s resulted in dissolution and restructuring as Seaboard Canning.
