Description
42 to 50 Central Street in Bangor. A three story red brick business block housing Louis Kirstein & Sons as well as IGA Stores and other businesses along the Kenduskeag Stream. Two men in long white coats stand in the street between two vehicles. Above their heads is a small model house located over a storefront doorway. Kirstein and Sons were real estate developers who built the Fairmount and Little City neighborhoods of Bangor. A worker cleans windows on the second floor in the center of the photograph. A sign for Real Estate Insurance stands on the roof.
