Description
Pike’s Wharf in the foreground with the R. J. Peacock Canning Co. adjacent. The two larger vessels at the right are the fish carriers Medric and Grayling. Both still exist as of 2010, the Medrick in poor condition, the Grayling in Eastport in good condition. In the distance just right of the smokestack is the many-windowed, multi-story hotel, known in different eras as the Merchants or the American. Photo taken from the Lubec-Campobello Roosevelt Memorial bridge.
