Description
Shep Hurd, owner of Dakin Sporting Goods Co., shown here with 19 trout, half caught by Hurd and half caught by Walter Spencer.
Hurd is famous for having alerted law enforcement authorities to the presence of the Brady Gang in Bangor. This resulted in the apprehension of the Brady Gang on October 12, 1937 on Central Street at about 8:30 a.m. in front of Hurd's store.
