Description
The St. Bruno de Grand Riviere missionary chapel was built in 1826 in Van Buren on the south shore of the St. John River.
The parish was under control of the Diocese of St. John, New Brunswick until 1870, when it and other Maine parishes were transferred to the Diocese of Portland.
The church was built in 1876.
